Bullistic Barriers was born from the craftsmanship and engineering expertise of Compass Ironworks, a company known for designing and building high-end, custom architectural metalwork. For over 20 years, our team has worked alongside architects, builders, and property owners to create gates, fences, and structural elements that must perform as well as they look. This work demands precision, durability, and a deep understanding of how materials behave under real-world conditions.

In 2019, we began to see an increase in interest from security personnel who had concerns about protecting facilities from hate crimes, riots, break-ins and other threats. They sought beautiful yet secure barriers that could protect their properties and buildings against a more dangerous world. Interest was strong from schools, houses of worship, hospitality, government, commercial and residential applications.

Drawing on our foundation in custom fabrication and structural engineering, we initiated development on a multitude of materials that could provide contemporary solutions to these needs. The results were a line of proprietary barrier systems capable of withstanding ballistic threats, forced entry, and impact while blending seamlessly into the design of a property.

What started as a specialized capability within Compass Ironworks quickly grew into something more as the need for building and property security grew – and Bullistic Barriers was formed.
